Where: Watertown, MA

John Kinyon and Ike Lasater of Mediate Your Life have spent years developing and offering the "Choose Peace, Create Peace" workshop series. The first 4-day training, Conflict to Connection, can be taken alone or as the beginning of a year-long immersion program.

From their website:

The Mediate Your Life Conflict to Connection  intensive is a 4-day workshop that integrates Compassionate Communication (Nonviolent Communication, NVC), mindfulness, and a mediation framework. The training gives you the communication skills and mediation “maps” to create empathic connection and collaboration between yourself and others and with those around you in your personal and work life.

This year John Kinyon is again offering the series on the East Copast, near Boston with Gail Carroll and Paul Merrill assisting.

I first enrolled in this program in 2011. John and Ike developed a training structure and exercises that continue to enrich my NVC practice. If any of you have been to a workshop where I offered "Intensity Practice" -- well, that's John and Ike's exercise. In addition to the 4-day program, participants set up weekly practices to hone skills between immersion retreats.

I would be happy to answer questions about my experience in the program: Hally Childs 301-270 8754 or hallych [at] gmail [dot] com.
