Lynd Morris is a CNVC certified trainer who offers Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Living Compassion workshops, classes, and intensive programs that combine mindfulness and relational practices to support connection with the living energy of needs.
Many of the programs Lynd offers feature consciousness practices developed by Robert Gonzales, Director of the Center for Living Compassion. She is actively engaged in the emerging practice of incorporating Focusing with compassionate communication. In addition, an important branch of Lynd's trainings are those designed to support parents and other adults who interact with children.
Lynd Morris was certified as an NVC trainer in 2009 by the global Center for Nonviolent Communication. She graduated from the 2005 North America NVC Leadership Program and has participated in the NVC LIFE Program since Robert Gonzales began it in 2006. For more than 8 years she has led NVC classes and workshops in the Metropolitan DC area as well as offering specialized trainings in Virginia, Colorado, California, Washington, and Oregon. Lynd led the Adult's Program at the NVC Family HEART Camp in Virginia in 2010 and 2011 and at the Family HEART Camp of the Rockies in Colorado in 2011, 2012, and 2013.
Lynd is a founding member of Capital NVC and a member of the Still Water Mindfulness Practice Center in Silver Spring, Maryland. In 1997, she was ordained by Thich Nhat Hanh into his Order of Interbeing.
